Justice for Families
Why I'm standing
To obtain the mandate to negotiate public land and funds for mobilising the dependents to create a strong home economy, from the grassroots up. In particular, we need life-long leased land to build an African inspired campus to host four social enterprising initiatives, helping families trade themselves out of poverty.
My priorities
Provide land to build an entrepreneur academy for the un-/under-employed.Provide land to build a skills-based micro-business incubator supporting self-employment.Provide land to build an inquisitorial McKenzie Friend Court without judges and lawyers.
Why me
I know first-hand how hard it is to get out of the gutter, once you have fallen through the cracks. I also received an international award for cross-cultural relations, studied Māori for 5+ years, and my clients are from all nations: South Africa, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, India, China, UK, NZ.

Why I'm standing
My hand went up because like most Aucklanders I was disillusioned by the lack of leadership, inane spending on vanity projects and the dropping of standards for our core services. Auckland needs a change of culture and a leader who focuses on the people and actual needs of the city.
My priorities
Remove spending on niceties and focus on our necessities.Sort Auckland Transport and reverse their purposeful congestion mindset to get traffic flowing.Fight to build a Waste to Energy plant which will sort refuse problems and stop the landfills.
Why me
Because Auckland is desperate for leadership. I'm genuine and grass-roots. I've spent the last 32 years in the trenches working, not in the political trough feeding. I'll listen and fight for all of our communities, and provide genuine accountability of the councillors, the council departments and myself to the people.

Why I'm standing
I did not want to run for Mayor. I waited for someone better known than me to promote a future for Auckland that I could believe in. That it has come down to me to offer this vision to a city of 1.5 million people is a scary responsibility.
My priorities
Roads. We all use them, they're going nowhere. It's time that we stopped ignoring them.Evening classes. Cheap and effective. Learning isn't just knowledge but also confidence and community.Fares linked to inflation. In the first instance we must do away with the farebox recovery rort.
Why me
While I have my views on national politics, I am in no way beholden to them. My singular focus will be, Auckland. Action must be taken now, whether or not the capital is on board. We have outgrown Wellington. Aucklanders understand our city best.

Why I'm standing
I came back to Auckland from overseas and I was shocked to find that many promises from 20 years ago still had not been fulfilled. Traffic and congestion have gotten worse and that is putting pedestrians and cyclists in danger. What's more we need to pay more for less.
My priorities
Save 11.5c per litre on fuel when the tax is scrapped to prevent our communities from hurting.Cap rating levels for 3 years to ensure that Auckland Council and CCOs live within their means.End the PC madness and give Aucklanders back their freedom—less government, more freedom!
Why me
I'm an average Aucklander, not a career politician. I grew up on Struggle Street in South Auckland and now I run a school in the Auckland CBD. I use the road and PT network everyday, so I know our communities are hurting from paying new taxes but getting zero improvements.

Why I'm standing
Kia ora, and greetings. Aucks is about to change into a medium density city, which means existing problems will get bigger unless addressed. There's no point being 'the world's most liveable city' for 1%. "We don't have money, so we have to think," and that means changing our models. Thoughtfully.
My priorities
Funding infrastructure painlessly through selling municipal infrastructure bonds to investors.Improving transport, recycling, industry and housing via investment and divestment.Moving away from petrochemical reliance via generous carrots, sticks, and education.
Why me
I'm committed to the big picture, economy, environment, business, citizenship, education, and fun. After 45 years, with 12 years in numerous countries, I believe I have an idea as to what we could be doing better, and how we can do it. My concern is for present and future generations.

Why I'm standing
I am standing to give voters the opportunity to take full responsibility for the legacy we are leaving future generations and all life on earth. One million species face extinction, and we cannot continue with the out-of-control, corrupt, corporate, greedy profiteering, that has caused the problems in the first place.
My priorities
Develop a comprehensive, ecologically-sound blueprint, to create a legacy we can all be proud of.Grow community from the ground up with local solutions for local problems, employment and housing.Stop glyphosate, fluoride, cruel 1080 poisons, pollution, 5G, GE, bullying and other social pollution.
Why me
No one person can solve the crises we face today, but a mandate from voters will mean I can unleash the same energy and commitment I have shown in keeping my neighbourhood as free as possible of toxic chemicals, waste and other pollution, with Friends of Sherwood, since June 1990.

Why I'm standing
This election is not about Labour or National, right or left. It’s all about Auckland, our city, our people. I want to be the Mayor of Auckland and not a puppet to Wellington. Auckland deserves someone who will champion our city who is not an extension to the bureaucracy.
My priorities
Freeze rates.Goff petrol tax gone.Sort Auckland Transport.
Why me
I have a law and arts degree. Over the past 35 years I have helped those in difficulty. I am the 10th of 12 children born to a staunch Irish Catholic mum and Māori father. I am a father of six and grandfather of eight.

Why I'm standing
I was asked to run for Mayor because I have a technical background in commercial and industrial fields. I've already discovered solutions, both practical and technologically advanced, for putting the City and it's infrastructure back into a stable order.
My priorities
Climate. Stop landfills that produce methane and Co2 and import waste to energy plants.Public transport. Introduce battery powered road trains, proven as more efficient and 80% cheaper.Rate freeze. Cull unnecessary expenditure, prioritise, support neglected regional needs.
Why me
Born in Auckland, I helped build the City as an electrician. Understanding construction I know City infrastructure and why Auckland is failing. I find solutions to problems, and with my knowledge of how people tick, I'm not easily manipulated and get teams working together as a unit.

Why I'm standing
I am standing for Mayor as I am very concerned that this city is becoming increasingly ugly and stressful. Housing is to be demolished and turned into apartments. This will not reduce "dwelling" costs. Where this has been tried overseas apartments cost more than the houses originally did.
My priorities
Cheap housing.Reduce traffic congestion.Reduce travel time.
Why me
I have been a lawyer and employment law consultant for over 30 years. I live with my wife and daughter in a house I own in the North Shore. As the director of 0800 SACKED I have seen my generally low income clients suffer with high house costs.

Why I'm standing
I am running for Auckland Mayor because I want Auckland to have a strong climate change policy as described by UN scientists last October, namely a 45% reduction in all greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, or better. Also, to protect Auckland's environment and find homes for the homeless.
My priorities
The Earth's climate. Auckland needs a strong climate plan to reduce our emissions 45% by 2030.Protect Auckland's environment. Allow nature to regenerate; no muck in the harbour.Organise homes for the homeless people, plus creativity/work advice if they would like that.
Why me
My heart is with Mother Earth and the people and animals and birds and fish of Auckland. People can rely on me to keep my word and always do my best for them and our city. Thank you if you decide to put your trust in me with your vote!

Why me

Why I'm standing
I decided to run for Mayor, because of the sheer incompetence, of council. Its money gouging, traffic congestion, lack of efficient public transport, homelessness, and other major issues being ignored or sidelined. Council fails its prime duties, service provision, control of city and growth, protection of environment, and within budget.
My priorities
Rail based public transport easing congestion, to airport, shore, satellite cities and intercity.Complete revamp and cleanup of council, its incompetence, inefficiency, wastefulness and abuses.Housing, assisting and relocating homeless. But focussing first on prime council responsibilities.
Why me
We need a strong leader with knowledge expertise and wisdom, not a recycled professional politician. Someone from Auckland who knows our city and its potential. I will provide the vision and driving support to make Auckland reach its true potential as a city on the world stage.
