Why I'm standing
I believe people have power to transform their lives. A desire to have our community thrive at its best is at the heart of my candidacy. To represent our local communities and residents, one should be local, well connected to whom they represent and actively listen to them.
My priorities
To understand resident's needs for wise spending of rates, transport, housing and employment issues.Ensure all feel safer on our roads, footpaths, in homes, community and crossing around local schools. To celebrate our diversity, promote collaboration, inclusiveness to ensure no one feels left out.
Why me
Botany is pristine, fantastic place to work, live, play and raise our beautiful families. I have worn many hats as a mother, community leader, advocate and governance representative for many organisations. Integrity + transparency + accountability = good governance to me and 'what matters to our residents matters to me'.

Why I'm standing
Botany sub-division has a growing positive influence of migrants from all over the world. Just under half of the population of Botany Sub-Division were born overseas. Being a migrant, I would be a better representative of Botany Sub-division. My opinions would be aligned with the needs of Botany residents.
My priorities
Set up Neighborhood support groups to create awareness in public safety, clean streets and parks.Set up new Migrant settlement program for new residents of botany sub-division.Organize community cultural events at Barry Curtis park to create diversity among locals.
Why me
I myself was born 35 years ago. Migrated to NZ 11 years ago. Living in Botany Sub-Division since 2012. I have experience dealing with the public at large throughout my career in business management, having 3 businesses operating in the botany sub-division only..

Why I'm standing
For 15 years I've invested in local schools as CEO of a youth development trust. Elected in 2017, I endeavoured to bring a current and practical perspective to the board, to actively represent residents. I want the board to be more directly connected to the community, responsive, communicative and relevant.
My priorities
Reduce council waste, keep council accountable to improve roads, footpaths, public transport and parks.Community safety (eg Murphy's Bush, Point View Drive, Tarnica, Highbrook) and improving local parks.Completion of the Ormiston Town Centre, Aquatic facility, Library, sporting and community facilities.
Why me
I was elected in 2017 to the Howick Local Board. As CEO of a non profit, I work with schools, council, businesses and local community groups. Educated in Business, Economics and Organisational Development, I'm frugal, with strong local networks and get things done. I also enjoy the job!
